I love Gerhard Richter. While I love art in general, I actually like very few painters - photography is more my jam. His paintings have a dreamy, surreal photo-like quality to them, though, and he has always been a favorite of mine. I couldn't decide what painting to use because I love so many, so I settled for this one. If I ever make petit fours again I might use some of his portrait series paintings...I like the idea of eating the heads of small smiling people!
